Twitter Ye Not
A certain unnamed 22 year-old here at PHD sent me an email the other day asking…
“what is twitter and why do I feel like a grandma for not knowing what it is!”
Given Twitter’s sudden burst into the mainstream (courtesy of being on things like The One Show, and no doubt thanks to the twubiquitous @stephenfry), for a lot of people it’s come from completely off radar.
Anyway, Amelia this morning tweeted (dictionary corner: v. – the act of writing an update on twitter) a link to a New York Times article which will tell you all you need to know…

PS. And talking of feeling like a geriatric, the title of this post, ‘Twitter Ye Not’, refers to one of the catchphrases from the Frankie Howard show ‘Up Pompeii’, made in 1970…
…I’d like to point out the show ended seven years before I was born. I just must have watched of repeats before the internet came along…
