Someone’s taken the concept of organising events on Facebook and decided to monetise it.  Wigadoo.com is a site for arranging the financial side of social events with your mates.  The idea is: you post an event on the site with dates/location etc; send it to a selected group of mates and then, the hard bit, get them to commit (financially) to doing it by pledging a defined amount of cash.  The user that created the account gets a pre-paid Mastercard (classy, I know) which pools the group’s money into one place.  Bob’s yer uncle – social events that people don’t pull out of at the last minute.  And wigadoo take their £1.50 per transaction.

I wonder what else on Facebook can be turned into money…
