Lea & Perrins 'Ad-funded content'. 1970s style.

As found in me mum’s cupboard when we were up recently – a Lea & Perrin’s produced recipe book, circa 1970-odd.  The barbeque sauce was quite good, though had celery in it.


I think this sort of stuff has always been a part of marketing in the industrial information age, it’s where brands have been helpful, or tried to give something of additional benefit to people.  We’re perhaps more sensitive to the need for it now because ‘interruption’ marketing is working less and less…
